The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is a vastly-growing region located in Northern Alberta and is considered one of the hubs of Canada's oil production. Due to the demands of the economy, the city of Fort McMurray, and its surrounding communities, has drawn people from all areas across the globe.

In the past decade, Fort McMurray has gone from being tagged as a "boom town" to a family town. And today, more and more people decide to work, live, play and stay!

According to the 2015 census statistics, the population is 125,000 strong. This diverse population includes professionals and community-minded individuals, who work hard on a daily basis to make their home a great one to reside and/or raise their families.
